Regional Cuisine Reflects National Diversity—Welcome to the USA Series
It’s not only hamburger. America’s melting pot has given rise to a varied and diverse cuisine. Cuisine in different parts of the U.S. developed independently. Cooking in each region has been influenced by the traditions of the immigrants who settled in the area and by the ingredients locally available. As a result, each U.S. region has distinct ingredients, flavors and dishes of its own.
