Millions of Americans watch this televised football game, which has become a major media and social event. Each year, the top two teams in U.S. football play against each other in the Super Bowl to determine the overall champion. But the Super Bowl is as much a social event as a sports spectacle as Americans gather with family and friends to watch the big game.
